Norma Jean Pickett Wise

Norma Jean Pickett Wise, 94, of Greenville, SC passed away on March 22, 2023 of complications following a fall. She was born in Waltham, Massachusetts on June 24,1928 to George and Doris Pickett. She was a graduate of Deering High School in Portland, Maine and Lasell Junior College in Auburndale, Massachusetts. She married Robert F. Wise in 1950 and was a devoted mother to their four children: James Wise (deceased), Bradley Wise (Jean) of Ijamsville, MD, Barbara Wise-Siegel (Jeffrey) of Simpsonville, SC, and Cynthia Wise Debek (Todd) of Fairfield, CT. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren spread across the country from California to Florida to Massachusetts.
Norma was kind-hearted, strong in spirit, smart and quick-witted. She kept her friends for life. She was meticulous with figures and did clerical bookkeeping for MBI, Sears and Dryden & Palmer. Norma enjoyed fashion, decorating, travel, book club, walking club, puzzles of every kind and especially taking her time with everything. Her unassuming and cheerful demeanor endeared her to all who knew her. Her loving and supportive presence and good-humored laugh will be missed.
