Norma S. Julian

Norma S. Julian, 71, of Easley, South Carolina, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville. Born on March 6, 1946 to her parents, George Rutherford Slater and Janie (McNeely) Slater, she was a lifelong resident of the upstate and she worked in many functions in the Textile Industry and retired from J. P. Stevens in Greenville. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very devoted to her faith in God. She will be remembered for her dedication in her work in the Textile Industry and for her generosity and giving that she did for so many. She also enjoy sending small gifts to her pen pals all over the country.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rita S. Powell. Those who will most cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, George W. “ Buddy “ Julian of Easley; her son, George Allen Julian (Teresa) of Powdersville, South Carolina; her daughter, Karen D. Julian of Easley, South Carolina; her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Norman is also survived by extended family members.

Funeral services to remember and honor Norma’s Life will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 2607 River Road, Piedmont, South Carolina 29673. Officiating will be Reverend David Nelson. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Friday at the Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow services where she will be laid to rest at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont.
