Noel Gonzalez

“To know him is to love him. To have loved him is to be BLESSED”
Noel Gonzalez, a beloved Brother, Uncle, and Father figure to so many passed away on October 10, 2021. Born on September 29, 1954, in Ponce, PR, he was the youngest of three siblings. Noel grew up in the South Bronx where he spent his formative years. He attended public schools, graduated from Bronx Community College, and landed a lifetime career with Xerox Corporation up until 2009. He then went on to work for Fuji Productions and most recently F2onsite. After leaving the Bronx, Noel lived in CT for several years before he would make Greer, SC his permanent home. He loved South Carolina living and he formed many meaningful friendships here. Although Noel did not father children, he was a Father to many; namely Giselle, Shaun, Nicholas, Anthony, Mica, and Ava. He loved them all very much.
Noel was full of life. He had a wicked sense of humor and loved to laugh. His laugh was contagious and only rivaled by his beautiful smile. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his siblings Epifanio, Alfredo, Carlene, and his niece and nephew; Antonya and Eric.
Noel’s ashes will be interned in Ponce, PR where he will be reunited with his mother & love of his life, Edith, and his father Epifanio, Sr. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to St. Judes Hospital for Children in memory of Noel.
