Nellie "Jeanette" Russell

Nellie Jeanette Russell, known affectionately as Jeanette to her friends and family, passed away on July 19, 2024, in Landrum, South Carolina. Born on September 4, 1932, in Frostproof, Florida, Jeanette's life was a testament to her loving, thoughtful, and gentle nature, which touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Jeanette's early years were spent in the warmth of Frostproof, where she was born to Robert and Lucille Albritton. She grew up alongside her siblings, Mary, Delbert, and Maxine, all of whom predeceased her.

Jeanette was a high school graduate from Frostproof High School, in Frostproof, FL. For 43 years, Jeanette served as a teller at Sun Bank of St. Lucie County.

Jeanette's life was rich with love and joy, particularly in her role as a mother to her son, Darrell "Rusty" T. Russell (Shannon), who she shared with her late husband, Perry Hollis Russell. Her love extended to her granddaughter, Renae Nicole Russell. Jeanette's family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

A master in the kitchen, Jeanette's cooking was the highlight of family gatherings and vacations. Her recipes were a blend of tradition and love, and they remain a treasured part of her family's heritage. Jeanette's passion for family was evident in the way she prioritized spending time with them, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
