In the spirit of the Bard himself, we pay tribute to a man of great character and joy, Nathaniel Paul Kozikowski, known affectionately as Nate. Born on the second day of November in the year of our Lord 1979, in the vibrant town of New Britain, Connecticut, he embarked on his final journey from Greenville, South Carolina, on the eighth day of October 2023.
Nate was a man of many passions, his interests as varied as the landscapes he loved to traverse. A dedicated hiker, he found solace in the embrace of nature, his spirit as free and untamed as the wind that rustled through the trees. His fascination with the earth's treasures led him to become a rock hound, his eyes always sparkling with the thrill of discovery. His love for geology was not confined to the outdoors, for he was also a skilled brewer of beer, his creations as unique and delightful as the man himself.
Educated at Terryville High School in Terryville, Connecticut, Nate's thirst for knowledge was insatiable. His curiosity and intellect led him to a fulfilling career at Engineering Products in Greenville, South Carolina. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his colleagues, his infectious smile a beacon of positivity in the workplace.
Nate was a man of many virtues. His friendly demeanor endeared him to all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. His adventurous spirit was contagious, inspiring those around him to seek out their own adventures. Yet, it was his thoughtfulness that truly set him apart. He had a knack for making everyone feel special, his kindness a testament to his generous soul.
He is survived by his parents Paul and Susan Kozikowski along with his beloved siblings, Catherine, Benjamin, and Jane Kozikowski, along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, his friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
In the words of Shakespeare, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Nathaniel Paul Kozikowski played his part with grace, enthusiasm, and an unwavering zest for life. His curtain call may have come, but his performance will be remembered for a lifetime. Fare thee well, dear Nate. Your spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
