Nancy Joyce Woods Smith, 85, formerly of 200 Edgewood Drive, Mauldin and widow of Samuel Arthur Smith, Jr., died August 23, 2014 at Diamond Health & Rehab in Simpsonville after a long period of declining health.
Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Vallie Cox Woods and John Franks Woods, Sr. She was a member of Sanctuary Greenville Church, formerly Fair Heights Baptist Church, and was retired from Arthur Smith Wallcovering as co-owner.
Surviving are four grandchildren, Anna Smith, Samantha Erwin, Brent Smith, Brooke Tweed; three great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; two sisters, Betty Bates, Reba Hyder and two brothers, Maxcy and Karl Woods.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sons; Freddie, Tony and Arthur Smith III; five brothers, Charles, John Franks, Jr., Ray, Jack and Dan Woods, and one sister, Iris Smith.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Cannon Memorial Park, Whispering Waters Cremation Garden in Fountain Inn conducted by Rev. Joe Rollins, Jr. Visitation will follow the service.
