Nancy Sue Shirk

Nancy Sue (Doornbos) Shirk of Greer, SC passed away on July 7, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Richard Shirk of the home, mother, Ruby Doornbos of Greenville, sister, Janice Holcombe (Mike) of Easley, brothers, Lyle Doornbos (Patty), of Greenville ,Jamie Doornbos (Clare) of Green Brae, CA and Robert Doornbos (Jan) of Easley, nephews Gregory Wilder and Liam Doornbos and great nephew, Griffin Thomas. She is also survived by many relatives out of state who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her father, John H Doornbos.
She spent many years as a dedicated employee with Michelin's engineering department in Spartanburg, SC but was making preparation for her retirement on the North Carolina coast since she liked the ocean and the sport of fishing. She also had a heart for the animals. Her two fur babies, Zoey & Mini, will surely miss her. The family wants to thank all for the expressions of sympathy, thoughts and prayers but to honor her wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenville Humane Society.
