Nancy Addington Epps

Nancy Addington Epps, a beacon of love, intelligence, and passion, was called home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2023. Born on July 14, 1948, in the humble town of Slater, South Carolina, Nancy was a woman of strength, resilience, and unwavering faith. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many.

Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Samuel David Addington and Dora Elizabeth Addington. She was the loving wife of the late Dennis Alan Epps, Sr., a union that blessed them with five wonderful children, Dr. Cathy (Todd) Kirkland, Lori Ann (Ron) Darnell, Dennis Alan "Bubba" (Lisa) Epps, Jamie (Stephanie) Epps and Scottie ( Mary) Epps . Nancy's love extended to her grandchildren, Hannah, Brett , Amanda, Zach,(Brittany) Kathryne Anne , Hunter, Emily ( Matthew) Lauren ,Brianna ,McKayla,and Ashlyn. Her heart swelled with joy for her great-grandchildren John Luke, Jackson, and Jamison.

Nancy was a woman of great intellect, earning an Associates in Nursing. She dedicated 39 years of her life to St. Francis Hospital, starting in the Intensive Care Unit and later serving as a nursing supervisor. Her passion for nursing was evident in the care she provided to her patients, often going above and beyond to ensure their comfort and well-being. Her colleagues admired her dedication, her patients appreciated her compassion, and her community respected her commitment to service.

Nancy's love for her family was immeasurable. She was the heart of the family, her home a sanctuary of warmth, love, and laughter. Her pets held a special place in her heart, their companionship bringing her immense joy. Nancy's love was a radiant light, a beacon that guided her family through life's storms and celebrated their triumphs. Her legacy of love will forever be etched in the hearts of those she left behind.

Nancy was a woman of faith, her life a testament to the power of love, compassion, and kindness. She was a woman of grace, her spirit a beacon of hope and resilience. Her intelligence was matched only by her humility, her passion for life inspiring those around her. Nancy was a woman of strength, her courage a testament to her unwavering faith in God.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Nancy, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life filled with love, service, and faith. We remember a woman who touched the lives of many, her legacy living on in the hearts of those she loved. We take comfort in knowing that Nancy is now reunited with her beloved husband, Dennis, and her parents, Samuel and Dora, in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

In the words of the Good Book, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Nancy Addington Epps, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Rest in peace, dear Nancy, until we meet again.

Visitation will be at 12 noon. Service will follow visitation at 1:00 PM
