Nancy Sparrow Billings, 80, loving wife of Thomas Billings, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, December 13th. She was born October 14th, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. to Dana E. and Marjorie Sparrow. A brother, Dana E. Sparrow, Jr. of San Anselmo, Ca. survives.
She was a graduate of Millburn High School in New Jersey and LaSalle College, Boston, MA. She and Tom, her husband for 54 years, have been residents of Greenville for over 10 years, having moved from Pasadena, California to be close to their daughter, Carrie Marguet, and her family, husband Chuck, grandson Will, granddaughter Kate, and Millie, her favorite grand dog.
Nancy was a busy wife, mother, and businesswoman over the years. In San Marino, CA she owned and operated a gift store, Crickets, for over 14 years. At the same time, she was very active with the San Marino Chamber of Commerce serving as its President, and was a member of The Kiwanis Club, and PTA. She was an active member of San Marino Community Church for over 30 years before joining Westminster Presbyterian Church in 2013.
In Greenville, Nancy, nicknamed Nonnie, enjoyed every minute of time with her family, especially the joy and experience of watching her “babies” grow from toddlers to teen years.
She was loved by family and friends.
There will be a Memorial Service at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Monday, December 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM 2310 Augusta St, in Greenville.
