Myrna Flanzbaum

December 8, 1932 — February 6, 2024

Myrna Jeanne Gilboard Flanzbaum born in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1932, passed away peacefully on February 6, at the age of 91. She was an incredible woman who embodied remarkable strength, fierce independence and innate beauty, leaving an enduring legacy in the hearts of her family and beyond.

Myrna raised five incredibly strong and resilient children and kept them all very close and connected. She leaves behind nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished and admired her deeply.

A lover of the ocean, Myrna found solace and tremendous joy in going to the beach. Her happiness was contagious as she fearlessly waded out and jumped the waves with carefree abandon. Myrna also loved fishing and boating and any activity around the water.

An avid reader, Myrna found joy and enlightenment in the pages of countless books and shared this passion with several of her children.

Myrna’s Grandchildren affectionately regarded her as “Glam Gran” a title earned through her shared passion for shopping and fashion, a bond cherished by all.

Professionally, Myrna spent many years in the jewelry business, where her dedication and work ethic left a lasting impact. Her commitment to working hard mirrored the values she instilled in all her children.

To celebrate Myrna's remarkable life, a private celebration of life will be held on March 2, 2024, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Family members will gather in remembrance, sharing stories and memories that honor the vibrant spirit of a woman who touched so many lives.

As we bid farewell to Myrna Jeanne Gilboard Flanzbaum, may her legacy of strength, love and independence live on through the generations she influenced, a testament to a life well lived.
