Monty Carlos Broome

Monty Carlos Broome, Sr., 73, of Greenville, SC passed away on February 22, 2023. Born in Pickens, SC he was the son of Furman Broome and Hazel Poore Broome.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Renee Broome, one daughter, Sunshine Broome, three sons; Furman Broome, II., Monty (Jamie) Broome, and Logan Broome. Other survivors include one brother Scott (Sharon) Broome, six grandchildren; Madalyn, Cora, Mason, Kolton, Kenneth, and Lucas. Monty's four sister in-laws (2nd wives); Bonnie Stone, Teresa Gowen, Peggy Moser,
Brenda Holloway. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Monty loved his family and friends dearly.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Tonya, a sister, Minerva, and two grandchildren; Kandice and Furman, III.

Monty was a motorcycle enthusiast for the past 50 years, he was an active member of Custom Riders Motorcycle club for nearly 20 years. He was proud of his profession of a sign painter (retired), who painted many landmarks in the greater Greenville area. He was known by his friends and family as being a great story teller, mostly of events from his own life.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at New Life Baptist Church. The Family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to Noon at the Church.

Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens
