Mildred Duncan

March 13, 1929 — May 28, 2020

Mildred Duncan (Granny) passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Mildred is survived by her four daughters, Carol Duncan Evans (Mack), Brenda Duncan Monteith (Lee), Sandra Duncan Smith (Bub),
Amy Duncan LeBlanc (Gerald). Mildred had seven grandchildren, Robert Evans (Deceased), Amber Almogabar (Deceased), Kim Morris, April Werger, Heather Miller, Tiffiny LeBlanc, Olivia LeBlanc; and nine great grandchildren. Mildred’s siblings included two brothers, Frank Bynum and Leroy Bynum (both deceased); and four sisters, Mae Bynum Leopard (deceased), Pauline Bynum McGuffin (deceased), Ann Bynum Atwood, and Edna Bynum Chastain. Also raised with the Bynum siblings is honorary brother Eddie Bagwell.
Mildred was a member of Woodside Church of God and a member of the Sanctuary Sunday School Class. She was active in pastoral ministries for many years alongside her husband, the late Rev. Jiles Duncan. They pastored churches in Idaho, Illinois, Hawaii and South Carolina. During that time, she was an advocate for feeding the hungry by distributing food through local churches sponsored by Food Banks and this continued long after she retired.
Her Memorial service is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 1st at 2PM at Woodside Church Of God, Greenville SC. Due to public safety concerns we are planning on streaming the memorial. Details will be posted on Facebook.
As it states in Proverbs 31:28, Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also. And he praiseth her. Everyone who knew her was blessed by her in some way and she will be greatly missed!
