Michael Chad Terry, known affectionately as Chad to his friends and family, passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on September 3, 1974, in Seneca, South Carolina, Chad was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who knew him. He departed this world in Easley, SC, leaving behind a legacy of love, humor, and service.
Chad was a proud US Army Veteran who served his country with honor and dedication. After his military service, he continued to serve his community as a trusted insurance agent, a role in which he was known for his integrity and compassion. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gina Terry, who was his partner in all things and his greatest supporter. His mother, Judy Dudley, will remember him as a son who brought immeasurable happiness into her life. Chad's brother, Jason Terry, will miss the bond they shared, as will his nephew, Christopher Terry, who looked up to him as a role model. Though his father, Jerry Terry, preceded him in death, the memories they created will continue to live on. Chad also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his cherished fur baby, Katie Mac, who will all miss his presence deeply.
Chad was a lifelong learner who valued education, earning an Associate's degree from Greenville Tech. His intellectual curiosity was a hallmark of his character, and he encouraged those around him to pursue knowledge with the same fervor.
An avid sports fan, Chad's passion for the Gamecocks was unmatched. He could often be found cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Gamecocks, his enthusiasm infectious to all around him. His love for gaming was evident as he spent countless hours on his Xbox, a pastime that brought him great joy and relaxation.
Chad's interests were diverse, but nothing compared to the joy he found in spending time with his friends and family. He was the life of every gathering, known for his funny anecdotes, faith-filled spirit, and selfless nature. His ability to light up a room with his humor and to offer a helping hand without a second thought defined the essence of who he was.
As we bid farewell to Chad, we celebrate a life lived with laughter, love, and a deep faith that guided him through every chapter. His legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
