Michael J. Plantec Sr. passed away Friday December 22, 2017 at his home in S.C. He was born December 16, 1944 in West Frankfort Illinois, the son of Micheal "Mitchell" Plantec and Estele Plantec of Manteno Illinois, both parents are deceased. Michael grew up and was longtime resident of Manteno and Bourbonnais IL. He attended Manteno High School, KCC and Louis University. His lifelong career in the pharmaceutical industry started 20 years at what was formerly Armour Pharmaceutical in Bourbonnais. This journey eventually took him across the United States contracting with many domestic and European Pharmaceutical companies. Her served the honorably in the US Army from 1963-1966 as a Hawk Missile technician. Michael married Karen Fournier on August 26, 1969. He is also survived by his son Christopher and his wife Tonya and grandson Carter of Greenville S.C, and son Michael Jr of Surprise AZ. Also survinving is ex-spouse and friend Karen Plantec, sister Juanita Susin and husband John, newphew Shale Susin, wife Lisa and their two children of Naperville Illinois.
There will be no service at this time but a celebration of his life and great storytelling at a later date. We will miss his life and laughter.
