Michael Derek Harkins, 38, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed from this life on Monday, July 22, 2019 at his home. Born on June 15, 1981 in Greenville, South Carolina to his parents, Michael Eugene Harkins and Teresa Renee (Wilbanks) Harkins, he was a lifelong resident of the Upstate and he work as a Preparatory Technician and a Cook in the Restaurant Industry. He was a friendly kind of man and made friends wherever her went. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children.
Michael is preceded in death by his father; his grandmother’s, Rose Dodgens and Norma Jean Hembree. Those who will most cherish his memory are his children, Chloe Harkins of Greenville and Trey Harkins of Greenville; his mother, Teresa Harkins of Greenville; his sisters, Tasha Harkins of Travelers Rest and Crystal Davis of Greenville; his brother, Chris Wilbanks of Greenville and his special grandmother, Jackie Roberson of Easley.
A memorial service to remember and honor Michael’s life is being planned and will be announced once arrangements are completed.
