Michael Author Ballentine, 52, of Fountain Inn, passed away May 18, 2024 at his home. He was born in Richland County in Columbia, SC. He was born September 24, 1971, son of late Dorothy Taylor and Lewis Ballentine. He is survived by his loving wife Tammy Lynn Ballentine.

Michael loved his family. Michael worked at Pratt Industries for 8 years. Prior to that he was a truck driver and loved the trucking world. Michael enjoyed fishing, gardening and working on cars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Bill Ballentine (Melinda); three sons, Brandon Keith Ballentine, Michael Daniel Ballentine, and Zach Mitchell; three step-children, Logan Tate, and Ranson Smitherman, Mary Smitherman; cousin Richard Scott Timmons (Leigh Anne), and multiple aunts and cousins.
