Melvin Tucker Jr., 80, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, January 28,2022, at home.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Mel and Missouri Tucker.
Melvin was the owner and operator of Tucker Roofing since 1965. Melvin had a passion for fishing, bowling and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Marie Tucker; two sons, Steve Tucker (Michelle), Mark Tucker (Deana); six grandchildren, Brittany Tucker, Kaylyn Mercer, Ryne Tucker, Cody Mercer, Austin Tucker and Ayden Tucker; six great grandchildren; one sister Wilma Jean Outz .
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Tucker and William Tucker; and two sisters, Irene Tucker KIng and Carolyn Barton.
Receiving of friends and family will be held on Thursday, February 3,2022 at Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funeral Home, 6010 White Horse Rd. from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin immediately following visitation in the chapel.
