Maurice was a character. His dry wit and practical jokes kept everyone on their toes. He lived his life to the fullest, and he loved to make others laugh. Maurice was as selfless as a man could be – helping others just came naturally to him. From mission projects, to teaching ESL, to volunteering at his church, he truly lived a life of service. In his free time, Maurice enjoyed a comfy chair and a good book.
Maurice is survived by his loving wife, Carol, with whom he enjoyed 46 wonderful years of marriage and a lifetime of friendship; his son, Daniel; daughter, Erin; siblings Dean (Loretta), Cathy, and Cynde; and his granddaughter, Kiley.
The family would like to thank everyone at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Moore, SC for their outpouring of love and support, and his caretakers at Hospice House in Spartanburg, SC for their kind and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial to the Global Missions Fund at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
