Maryann Elizabeth Gaspar
August 17, 1928 — January 3, 2017
Maryann Elizabeth Gaspar, 88, of Taylors, SC left this earth to be with her beloved husband, Vince Gaspar on January 3, 2017.
She was born August 17, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio to the late John Nyitray and Vera (Uher) Nyitray. After meeting the love of her life when she was only 14, they married on October 9, 1948 and they were able to spend 67 beautiful years together. Maryann attended Central Catholic High School in Toledo and worked for A&P in their Human Resources Department as a secretary retiring in 1975. In 2008, Maryann and Vince moved to Greer, SC to be near their daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Stan) Fletcher of Taylors, SC; grandchildren Vince (Kelli) Bechtel of Greer, SC, Brittany (Cale) Harbin of Taylors, SC, and Regina (Scott) Brzak of Wahiawa, HI as well as 9 great-grandchildren that gave her great joy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Building Fund, 901 River Road, Greer, SC 29651.
The family will receive friends at 10:30 with a funeral mass following on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
