Mary Gullick Wardlaw

Mary Gullick Wardlaw, 91, widow of David Allen “Billy” Wardlaw, Jr., died Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
Born on May 4, 1925 in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Carl Lee Gullick, Sr. and Lucy Mauldin Gullick.
She was a graduate of Furman University and worked at Furman University from 1947 until 1967 in the men’s admissions office. She worked at Greenville Sr. High School from 1967 until 1977. She retired from Span America in 1987.
Surviving are her son, David Allen Wardlaw, III; her daughter, Arianna Wardlaw Gailey; and a brother, Roy M. Gullick, Sr. She was predeceased by her brothers Carl Lee Gullick, Jr. and Herbert D. Gullick and her half-brother Billy Young.
She was a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 1:30 PM followed by a memorial service in the chapel at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Congregational Care Fund of Buncombe Street UMC, 200 Buncombe Street, Greenville, SC 29601 or to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.
