Mary E. Wallace, 70, of Falconer passed away Tuesday (October 19, 2021) in Lyman, SC under hospice care in her granddaughter’s home.
A lifelong area resident she was born September 8, 1951 in Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Leora Proper.
Mary was a graduate of Jamestown High School and a graduate of Jamestown Community College. Prior to retirement she was employed at Weber Knapp in Jamestown.
Mary was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she loved reading, playing cards, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by her three children: Roy (Emma) Boutelle of Kennedy, Paula Wallace of Falconer, Steve (Bonnita) Wallace of Kennedy, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her mother she is preceded in death by her husband Theodore “Ted” Wallace Sr. whom she married June 30, 1979 who died January 15, 2001; four children: Donna J. Wolf, Karen L. Sorensen, Theodore D. “Ted” Wallace Jr., Mark Wallace; two brothers: Dick and Vernon Proper, and a sister Alice Ann Proper.
A private graveside memorial service will be held in Kiantone Maple Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
