Mary Elizabeth Turner

Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Sams Turner passed away on November 9, 2015 at 4:30 A.M.  She is the widow of loving husband Buddy Turner. She was born in Anderson and moved to Greenville as an infant. She is the daughter of R. William (Bill) Sams and Johnnie Moore Sams.  She worked for Piedmont Industries for 23 years, then for Springbrook Behavioral Health as Admissions Coordinator for 15 years.  She was a 1959 graduate of Parker High School.  Beth is survived by a daughter, Sherrill Turner Scott and son-in-law David Scott, two grandsons, Matthew Todd Scott (Hyland) and Joshua Evan Scott (Celeste).  She is also survived by her three sisters Bonnie S. Smith, Sarah S. Wells, Faye S. Jordan (Mike), sister-in-law Edith Riddle, her many beloved nieces and nephews, and a great granddaughter, McKenna.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Buddy and her daughter Shannon Elise Turner.

Funeral Service will be at Westville Funeral Home on Friday, November 13, 2015. Visitation will be from 12-2 P.M. with the funeral to follow.  Beth was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the church in lieu of flowers.
