Mary Ann Walbridge Tevyaw died peacefully on April 22, 2025, after a long two-year battle with lung cancer in her home in Greenville, South Carolina.
She was born April 5, 1949, in Montpelier, Vermont, to Philip and Verna Walbridge.
She married Ronald James Tevyaw on September 28, 1968, in Walden, Vermont. They had one child, John Byron Tevyaw, during their marriage.
Mary worked as an administrative assistant at Michelin before moving on to Lockheed, where she retired in 1994 following her husband's death. Additionally, she was a co-owner of her son’s tile and bath company until his passing in 2019.
She had seven brothers, four sisters, and a niece named Rose Sweeney, whom she referred to as her sister instead of her niece. She would call her sister-niece.
Mary is survived by her brothers: Philip Walbridge and his wife Brenda; Peter Walbridge and his wife Sue; Mark Walbridge and his wife Judy; David Walbridge and his wife Barbara; Joseph Walbridge and his partner Diane; and Ronald Walbridge and his partner Cherie.
Mary is survived by several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and great-great-nephews and nieces. She also had hundreds of cousins.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ronald James Tevyaw, and her son John Tevyaw; her sisters Brenda Lee Sweeney, Verna May Clow, Nancy Jane Walbridge, Marlene Jean Walbridge, and brother William Walbridge.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date in South Carolina.
