Mary Schultz
Mary Rowland Schultz, of Lyman, SC, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family on February 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Newton Rowland and Lizzie Iloan Smith; her siblings, Hazel E. Davenport (Jack), Walker Benny Rowland (Evelyn), Catherine Irene Smith (Leland), Alvin N. Rowland; and her children, Leslie A. Brewer, and Ronald K. Brewer (Angela).
Mary is survived by her husband, Allan Schultz; brother Stan A. Rowland (Gail); children Roddy W. Brewer, Theresa L. Green (Ricky), Chris Brewer (Catie); step-children, Jeffrey Schultz, Sheila Hardin (Cary); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Mary was a loving wife and sister. She loved her grandchildren deeply, and they referred to her affectionately as “Bunga” and “Momma Mary”. Mary lived life to the fullest – she traveled extensively, loved music – particularly Elvis, and she loved tending to her garden. Mary’s sense of humor lit up the room, and her love of life was contagious. You couldn’t help but feel alive in her presence.
A celebration of life will be held in the chapel of Cremation Society of SC – Westville funerals at 11am on Friday, February 18th. Strict Covid protocols will be followed – mask-wearing will be required.
