Mary Lou, alongside her beloved husband, the late Robert Griffin, successfully ran Top of the Hill RV in CT before retiring to Maine, and eventually moving to Greenville, South Carolina.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving children, David Griffin, Cindy Griffin, and Mary Lukomske. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Eric Griffin, Emily Griffin, Zachary Griffin, Vanessa Scruggs, Matthew Lukomske, and Sarah Lukomske, as well as her great-granddaughter, Cassidy Scruggs.
Mary Lou's zest for life was evident in her younger years through her love of the ocean and fishing as well as taking well deserved cruises that she and Robert earned while running Top of the Hill. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as savoring good food, Sunday dinners, and embracing the company of friends and family.
Those who knew Mary Lou will remember her as strong, funny, and friendly- she never met a stranger. Often striking up conversations with people she met in the grocery store or restaurant. Her faith-filled nature was a source of strength and comfort to her and to those around her.
As we bid farewell to Mary Lou Griffin, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by an unwavering commitment to her family, her work, and her faith. Her memory will continue to be a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her. Mary Lou's laughter, love, and legacy will endure in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
