Mary Lou Elkins

Mary Lou Elkins, 83, of Greer, SC, passed away on January 3, 2025. She was born November 12, 1941, in Rockland, Delaware to Charles E. Tims and Bessie V. Tims. She was predeceased by her three sisters: Betty, Margaret and Edith; and two brothers: Charles and Jack. Mary Lou is survived by her two daughters, Lori Elkins and Valerie Jeter; granddaughter, Emily Wirt, and brother, Larry Tims. 

During her life, Mary Lou lived in various places along the East Coast, from Rhode Island to South Carolina. She started her career at DuPont and had other occupations including Manager at Whitley’s Peanuts and several successful jobs in furniture sales. 

Mary Lou was a member of Covenant Church and the Smith Friendship small group.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Covenant Church, 1310 Old Spartanburg Rd, Greer, SC 29650.
