Mary Lynn Condray

October 21, 1960 — December 9, 2023

Mary Lynn Condray, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 9, 2023, in Williamston, South Carolina. She was born on October 21, 1960, in Apopka, Florida to her parents Rex Barton and Arlene Emily Miller Barton.

Mary Lynn had a fulfilling career as a medical records professional and was also certified as a minister. Her dedication to both her work and faith was admirable and exemplified the kindness that radiated from her every action.

While Mary Lynn achieved many goals in her life, her education at Wren High School provided her with the essential foundation for success. It was during this time that she began to nurture the qualities that made her so special.

She had a heart as vast as the open sky - overflowing with love and compassion for others. Mary Lynn never met a stranger; she always welcomed everyone she encountered with warmth and an open heart. Her genuine nature touched the lives of countless individuals over the years.

Mary Lynn held a profound appreciation for her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, and extended family beyond words could express. It brought her immeasurable joy to spend quality time with them and create treasured memories together.

In addition to being an incredible mother and grandmother, Mary Lynn had passions of her own. She possessed a deep love for wildflowers, their beauty mirroring the vibrancy she brought into every room she entered. Baking cakes was another talent of hers; her culinary creations were works of art that filled hearts with joy.

Mary Lynn's memory will forever be cherished by those who survive her passing. She leaves behind her loving husband David Condray, who supported and shared in every adventure they embarked on together. Her daughter Alisa Simpson and her husband Adam,  son Larry Whitworth, Step-Son David Condray Jr. and Chasity, will carry her spirit forward as they embrace the lessons she passed down to them.

The legacy of Mary Lynn lives on through her grandchildren Fantiasia Brannan and her husband Alton, Mark Brannan and his wife Jaylee, Taylor Simpson, Megan Simpson, Emily Simpson, Matthew Simpson, Sandy Whitworth, Devin Whitworth, Ashlye Whitworth, and Gage Hamby. Her great-grandchildren Wren Chambers, Addlynn Brannan, and Emberlyn Terry will hear stories of their remarkable great-grandmother with hearts filled with love and admiration.

Mary Lynn's siblings Charles Barton, Thomas Barton and his wife Kim, and Anita Robinson and her husband Benjamin are united in grief but also in the fond memories they have shared throughout the years. She will be remembered dearly by her niece Jamie (Gary) McGuffin along with Saralyn Pridgen and her husband Keith. Mary Lynn was also an aunt to Cody and his wife Bri, nephew Daniel Temples with his wife Kelsi and Jonathan Barton. She was also blessed with great nieces and nephews - Riley, Marley, Clyde, Addie, Lawson, Natalie, and Nyomi - were recipients of Mary Lynn's love and affection.

Mary was pre-deceased by her parents Rex & Arlene Barton, brothers, James Barton, Russell Barton, and Sandy Barton.

Mary Lynn Condray touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her warm heart, kind spirit, and unwavering love. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled; however, the legacies of love she imparted will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As we gather to celebrate Mary Lynn's life and mourn her passing, may we find solace in the profound impact she had on our lives. May her memory inspire us to show kindness to strangers just as she did - for that is how we can perpetuate the light she brought into our world. Rest in peace, dear Mary Lynn Condray. You will forever remain in our hearts.

A private memorial service will be scheduled and held in Kentucky at a later date.
