Mary Sue Jones Cash

Mary Sue Jones Cash passed away suddenly and very peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018, in Greer, SC.
She was born New Year’s Day, 1926, in Greer, SC, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joe Cash, Sr.
She was a devoted wife and mother, and is survived by three sons: Joe Cash, Jr. (Marti); Pete Cash (Anne); and Jim Cash (Elaine). Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Joe, Jr.’s children Lauren Cox (Nate) and Joe “Chip” Cash, III; Pete’s children, Robert Cash (Shannon), Sarah Nesbitt (Zack), and Steven Cash; and Jim’s son Jay Cash. Great grandchildren are Robert’s sons Luke and Marvin, and Lauren’s daughter, Lachlyn, who is expected to arrive in April.
Mary was a 1943 graduate of Anderson Girls’ High School, and a 1945 graduate of Anderson College.
She worked at Abney Mills and Anderson Memorial Hospital as a purchasing agent, and for the United States Census Bureau.
Mary was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time at the beach and with family and friends.
She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, Greenville. Services will be held there on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at 11:00 AM, preceded by visitation at 10:00.
