Mary Alice “ Non “ Blackwell McCauley, 73, of Taylors, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her home following an illness. Born on June 6, 1944 in Greenville, South Carolina to her parents, Wilfred Francis Blackwell and Mary Nell (Worrell) Blackwell, she was a lifelong resident of the upstate, she was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Greenville and she was a homemaker. She will be remembered by her family as a person who was always giving to others and readily available to offer advice to those nearest to her.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fredrick Anthony McCauley; her grandson, Elijah James Labbe; her sister, Camellia Blackwell DeGraw and the siblings of her husband, Mike McCauley, Mary Jo Knight, Brenda Porter, Susie Sightler. Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughters, Cat Labbe (Ron) of Taylors, South Carolina and Meg Plumley (Michael) of Taylors, South Carolina; her son, Chris McCauley of Greenville, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Zack Gilstrap (Krystal) of Taylors, South Carolina and Allison McCauley of Taylors, South Carolina; three great grandchildren, Kitty, Katy and Liam and the siblings of her husband, John McCauley, Pete McCauley, Chris McCauley, Joe Simpson, Jack Knight, Bobby Porter and Penny Green. Mary is also survived by her nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. During her life, Mary had the Best Friends in the World and They Know Who They Are.
A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 307 Gower Street in Greenville, South Carolina 29611. The family will gather at Mary's Home, 604 Haethwood Drive, Taylors, SC 29687 following the Mass.
