Mary Lynn Aksomitus, affectionately known as Lynn or "Pooh" to her loved ones, passed away on March 15, 2025, in Easley, South Carolina, at the age of 69. Born on February 4, 1956, in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, Lynn was a beacon of love and intelligence, known for her courageous spirit throughout her life.
Lynn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gaye Fuller Jones and Earnest Stanley Aksomitus, as well as her cherished son, Timothy Blayne Butt. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive by her devoted son, Quentin T. Rhinehart (Starsha), and her adored grandchildren, Isaac and Madilynn Rhinehart. She will also be deeply missed by her sister, Sharon Goodman (Donnie) of Pounding Mill, Virginia; her nephews, D.R. Goodman (Kelly) and Adam Goodman (Sarah); and her cousins, Buddy and Tonya Fuller, along with a host of extended family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
Those who knew Lynn would describe her as a loving soul, whose intelligence shone brightly in every aspect of her life. Her courage was evident not only in her professional endeavors but also in her personal battles, facing life's challenges with unwavering strength and grace.
Lynn's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the love of her family, the respect of her peers, and the countless lives she touched with her generous spirit. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be cherished in their hearts forever.
As we bid farewell to Lynn, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she has left on this world.
