Marvin Lee Brown, Sr.

Marvin L. Brown, Sr., 74, husband of Elaine Nalley Brown, passed from this life Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his home.
Born in Gaston County, North Carolina he is a son of the late Betty Jean Matthews and Howard “Red” Matthews. Mr. Brown is a Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War and served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of Hilltop Avenue Baptist Church and was retired from Greenville County Roads and Bridges Department. Mr. Brown was known as an avid Mustang Enthusiast, always enjoying working on and restoring them.
Survivors include his wife Elaine of the home, sons Lee Brown, Jr. (Christine) of Duncan, and Michael Brown (Michele) of Greer, a daughter Teresa Craven (Ryan) of Seattle, Washington, four granddaughters and one great granddaughter, two brothers, Curtis Matthews of Florida and Randy Matthews of Seneca.
The family will be having a celebration of life for Marvin on Saturday September 5th at Duncan Diesel and Auto, 1003 Woods Chapel Rd in Duncan, from 5 to 7 pm. All who would like to attend are welcome.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Mr. Brown.
