Mark Anthony “Tony” Poole

Mark Anthony “Tony” Poole, 65, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, August 10th, 2021. He was born Tuesday, June 26th, 1956 in Marion, NC to his parents, the late Paul Lawrence Poole and Josephine Ilone Bradley Huntsinger.

Tony retired from Clemson University after 17 years of service as a Senior Applications Analyst. Prior to his time at Clemson, Tony proudly served and retired from the United States Navy achieving the rank HMSC (SS), Hosptal Corpsman Senior Chief Petty Officer, in the Submarine Fleet. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Tony was a lifetime member of the “Defenders Motorcycle Club” and also was currently a Major of “The Noble Few” Motorcycle Group.

Left to honor his memory are his children: Heather Killough of Marion, NC, Brian (Courtney) Poole of Anderson, SC, Kevin Poole of Anderson, SC and Colin Poole also of Anderson, SC; his grandchildren, Hunter and Emma Killough of Asheville, NC; his siblings: Jeff Poole of Stockbridge, Ga, Misty Harrison of Clemson, SC, Chris Poole of Jacksonville, Fla. and Darrell Poole of Asheville, NC and Tony’s beloved service dog “Zoey”.

An inurnment service with Military Honors will be held Friday, August 27, at 2pm at The M. J. Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr., Anderson, SC 29621.
