Marissa Alice Bundy

Marissa Alice Bundy, 26, put down her sword and was ushered into glory on March 6, 2017. Born in October 1990 to Lenny and Colleen Bundy, Marissa lived in Greer, SC with her 8 siblings: Cassie Thompson, Chad Bundy, Kendrea Bundy, Zach Bundy, Landon Bundy, Garrett Bundy, Hayden Bundy, and Kyla Bundy. She is also survived by a large extended family and her fiance, Daniel Vervaet.
Marissa graduated with an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Bob Jones University in 2012. She adored children and used her gift of teaching at Daisy Patch Preschool and then Primrose School at Five Forks. She is greatly loved by friends, coworkers, students and their parents.
Just one week before her 25th birthday, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought that battle for 18 months with an enduring spirit and strong faith. That faith is now made sight and she is with her Savior forevermore, all pain and sorrow gone.
Visitation will be held from 10 until 11:45 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 115 Cedar Lane Road, Greenville, SC. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery in Travelers Rest. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the beneficence fund at Mount Calvary.
