Bruce “String” Hamilton, 81, husband of Margaret Grice Hamilton, passed from this life Friday, August, 14, 2020 at Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Chester County South Carolina he is a son of the late Earl R. and Nellie Phillips Hamilton. Bruce was retired from J. P. Stevens Slater Plant and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Travelers Rest.
Survivors include his wife of the home, children; Phillip Bruce Hamilton (Dona) and Phyllis Lea Hayes, sisters; Frances Bowers, Denear Darnell and Joan Matthews, grandchildren; Jesse Crane, Lacey Crane and Adam Joseph Hayes, great grandchildren; Kayden Holbrooks, Logan Holbrooks, Addaleigh Alsep and Joshlyn Crane.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, a daughter Tonya Renee Cull, and a brother Earl R. Hamilton, Jr.
A graveside service will be held 12 pm Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Greenville Memorial Gardens with Reverend Tim Scruggs officiating.
