Together, they were a testament to enduring partnership and mutual support. Sandy was a devoted mother to her daughter, Ali Palmer, and her son, Mike Ropes. Her joy multiplied with the birth of her granddaughter, Lilly Palmer.
Her sisters, Cathy Astrof, Jeannie McGinnis, and Anne Poisson, will remember Sandy as the embodiment of sisterly love and the family's cornerstone. Her presence brought comfort and happiness to every family gathering, and her memory will continue to inspire them.
Sandy moved to Port Washington, Long Island in her early teens, where she laid down roots.
