Marguerite Burry Morgan Meetze
July 12, 1922 — January 31, 2017
Marguerite Burry Morgan Meetze, 94, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at White Oak of Newberry. She is the only child of the late Claude Beverly and Estelle Farrow Burry. Mrs. Meetze was preceded in death by husbands, Thomas Franklin Morgan, Sr. and Roy B. Meetze.
Surviving are her two children, Thomas Morgan, Jr., wife Linda of Chapin and Beverly Morgan McClanahan, husband Paul of Columbia. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Lauri Morgan Ruff, husband Brad, Carol McClanahan Krasowski, husband Peter, and Patrick McClanahan; four great grandchildren, Morgan Folta, Marguerite Krasowski (Margo), Emily Ruff, and Elizabeth Krasowski (Liza).
Mimi enjoyed gardening, being close to nature, traveling with her family and time with her dogs. Mimi enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
Her family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff and nurses at White Oak and Bethany who cared for Mimi. A special thanks to many Hospices staff who cared for Mimi.

A memorial service will be held March 24, 2017, 2:00 PM at Washington Street United Methodist Church, Columbia SC.
