Margaret “Marg” Ashmore Kruzner, 59, of Anderson, SC, peacefully slipped into the hands of Our Lord on Saturday June 15th of 2019 having survived many health issues over the past several years surrounded by her immediate family and many friends at Anmed Hospital in Anderson.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday July 6th at Covenant Baptist Church at 4521 Liberty Hwy., Anderson, SC 29621 with family friend and Pastor Steven Silvey officiating. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service in the adjacent Fellowship Hall where a meal (Marg’s favorite family meal!) will be provided.
Marg was born in Aiken, SC to Ralph C. and Yvette L. Ashmore on October 12th of 1959. She attended Aiken High School where she graduated with honors and went on to attend Aiken Tech where she studied Accounting and was listed in the: “Who’s Who of American Junior Colleges”.
Marg married Steven P. Kruzner on October 24th of 1980 in Aiken, SC. She worked in Accounting for the bulk of her career for various employers in the Aiken /Augusta Area, Atlanta Area and eventually in Anderson, SC and raised two children; Tracie Starr and Kyle Stuart who remain in the Upstate SC area. Marg selflessly lent her talents to many people and many causes, most notably the Boy Scouts of America where she was awarded the “Silver Beaver Award” for exceptional volunteer service to the “Colossal Cobb District” in Marietta, GA while simultaneously serving as the City Service Unit Director for the Girl Scouts in Marietta.
Marg was a volunteer leader in both the BSA and GSA but also served as a Band Booster Club Treasurer/Fundraiser for the T.L. Hanna Band in Anderson, SC and volunteered at Covenant Baptist Church. She was a registered American Indian who was engaged in passionate and determined research and documentation of the Genealogical History of her entire family. Marg enjoyed her role as Emmie most of all.
Marg is survived by her Husband Steven, Daughter Tracie(Daniel), Son Kyle(Amanda), Brother Bill(Cyd), Sister Claire, Grandchildren (Who know her as “Emmie”): Talia, Draegen, Warren, & Abby, with a fifth on the way, along with many whose lives have been touched by this remarkable, witty, crafty and clever woman.
