Mae Edith Jackson, born on January 15, 1947, in Little Meadows, PA, was the daughter of Harry and Frances Furman. She grew up in Newark Valley, NY, where she attended school.
On January 5, 1994, Mae married the love of her life, Leroy Jackson, Sr. This union blessed her with many children and grandchildren, bringing her immeasurable joy. Mae and Leroy shared countless cherished trips and activities throughout their years together. She was a dedicated caregiver to Leroy until his passing. Mae continued to find happiness in spending time with family and friends, always greeting them with a warm smile. She welcomed many into her heart as her adopted children and grandchildren, always eager to offer help to anyone in need. Mae was deeply committed to her faith and loved sharing her belief in God's Kingdom, often witnessing to those who visited her. She also cherished the companionship and care given by her friend, Debra Pat Jones, who was a true blessing in her life.
Mae is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy Jackson, Sr.; her brothers, Lyman Ackerman, Melvin Ackerman, and Robert Ackerman; and her sisters, Cora Cassin and Mabel Johnson.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Louvenia Thompson (Bill); her step-sons, Leroy Jackson, Jr. (Ruth) and John Albert Bell (Zomena); her sister, Nanus Kinney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
