Lynda McCowan, a loving soul so dear,
Passed away on June 17th, in the year,
Of twenty twenty-three, in Easley, SC,
Leaving behind a legacy of love and harmony.
Born in Ohio, on February 4th, 1941,
Lynda's life was filled with laughter, love, and fun.
With a heart so kind and a spirit so bright,
She brought joy to all, both day and night.
A loving wife to Duncan, her partner in life,
Together they faced happiness and strife.
A mother to Martin, and mother-in-law to Jan,
She guided them with a gentle, loving hand.
A doting grandmother to Blade and Lane,
Her love for them, forever will remain.
A sister to Denver, and the late Kathyrn too,
Her family ties were strong, loyal, and true.
A daughter of Otis and Vivian, now passed,
Their love and teachings will forever last.
A cousin to Johnie, and aunt to Daniel Blake,
Her love for her family, no one could mistake.
Lynda's interests were many, her passions ran deep,
From quilting and gardening, her talents did seep.
Feeding the birds, a simple pleasure she'd find,
A testament to her loving and nurturing kind.
A friend to all, with a heart so pure,
Her kindness and warmth, we'll always endure.
In the words of Mother Teresa, we find it quite fitting,
"Spread love everywhere you go, let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."
So, let us remember Lynda, as we gather today,
Her love, her kindness, her friendly way.
A life well-lived, a soul so sweet,
In our hearts and memories, forever she'll keep.
