Luis was the beloved husband of Gloria E. Arango, with whom he shared a beautiful life. He was a devoted father to his son, Carlos Luis (Kristen) Arango, and a doting grandfather to Kaylin Ambry, Kelly Johanna, and Victor Andrew. His joy was multiplied with the birth of his great-grandchild, Kaiden. Luis was also a cherished brother to Monica Botero and Alba Rosi Botero, and a beloved uncle to Jorge Alberto Arango, Alvaro Leon (Ana Maria) Arango, Liliana Maria Arango, Manuel Alejandro Gallego, and Milena (Carlos) Moreno. He was predeceased by his mother, Isaura Arango, stepfather, Gilberto Botero, and brothers, Alvaro and Ariosto Arango.

Luis received his high school education and furthered his studies at a technical college, where he trained as a textile mechanic. His education paved the way for a successful career in the textile industry. He spent ten years at Pantex in Medellin, Colombia, before moving to the United States. In the U.S., Luis dedicated over 30 years of his life to Kaulkstein Silk Mills in Paterson, NJ, where he was highly respected for his work ethic and commitment.

Outside of his professional life, Luis was a man of many interests. He was a dog lover, often seen taking long walks with his furry friends. He was also a grill master, known for his delicious barbecues that brought family and friends together. A novice fisherman, Luis enjoyed the tranquility of the water and the thrill of the catch. He was an avid soccer and baseball fan, often cheering on his favorite teams with infectious enthusiasm. Above all, Luis was a family man. He cherished the time spent with his loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Luis Carlos Arango will be remembered for his warm smile, his hearty laughter, and his kind heart. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and the joy of friendship.
