Loretta Faye Lively Trimble, 89, of Simpsonville, wife of Michael Anthony Trimble, passed away from complications of Parkinson’s on Thursday, April 28, 2022. They had been married for over 55 years. On March 10, 2022, she was asked, ‘What is most important to you today?’ She responded, “To praise my Lord and live in His ways daily.” No response could have better exemplified the way she lived her entire life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.
A native of West Virginia, Loretta was the daughter of the late Carnie and Irene Lively. Surviving are her sister, Ladene Norris, Crab Orchard, WV; brother, Marvin (Sue) Lively, Beckley, WV; sister-in-law Mary Trimble, Valparaiso, IN; husband, Mike Trimble and sons, John (Trish) Trimble and Paul (Rebecca) Trimble and five grandchildren Abby, Madeline, Laken, Will and Ava. Deceased are her brother, Gene Lively; sister-in-law, Daphne Lively; brothers-in-law, Maurice Trimble and Bill Norris.
Loretta was a giving person, devoting her life to the service of others. The impact of her generous nature was felt daily by her family, friends and community she served. She freely shared her time, patience, musical talents and love with everyone who was blessed to know her.
A celebration of Loretta’s life will be held on Saturday, May 7th in Auditorium Two at Fellowship Greenville, 3161 South Highway 14, Greenville, SC 29615 at 10:30 am, preceded by a drop-in visitation starting at 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 429 North Main Street, Suite 3, Greenville, SC 29601.
The family wants to extend a special word of appreciation to Lutheran Hospice and to The Pearl at Five Forks for lovingly caring for Loretta and her family during the last year of her life.
