Litha Elizabeth Holt Coggins

Litha Elizabeth Holt Coggins, 92, of Marietta, widow of Houston Coggins, went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2022. Born in Newport, TN, she was a daughter of the late Bruce R. Holt and Annie Mae Smith Holt.
Survivors include her son, Michael Coggins; two granddaughters, Michele (Roger) Pirie, and Sherry (Sammy) Guthrie; one grandson, Johnny Diamond; six great-grandchildren, Cory Guthrie, Brandon (Emma) Pirie, Kyle (Emily) Guthrie, Michaela (Tyler) Cole, Alexis (Drew) O’Brien, and Aleaha Diamond. She is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren, Dylan Richardson, Adalynn Guthrie, and Kayden Guthrie, and one great-great-grandson soon to be born, Maverick O’Brien; and one sister, Shirley Coggins.
Litha was predeceased by one daughter, Paulette Diamond; one great-grandson, Morgan Diamond; and siblings, Beatrice Nease, Ruby Hagood, Lottie Robinson, Jean Child, Ophelia Owen, J.C. Holt, Bill Holt and R.B. Holt.
She retired from the Greenville County Schools and was a member of Lima Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Lima Baptist Church, 10 Lima Baptist Church Road, Travelers Rest, SC 29690. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM – Noon, with the funeral service at Noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
