Leslie “Brook” Paul, age 38, of Central, SC passed away on November 29th in Greenville, SC. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in his hometown, Georgetown, SC. Visitation will begin at the church at 2pm followed by a memorial service at 3pm on Sunday, December 3rd.
Brook was born in Georgetown, SC on September 7, 1979 to Glenn and Angie Paul. He graduated from Georgetown High in 1998. During his life he worked many jobs including golf courses, ski slopes and spent many months hiking the Appalachian Trail with his brother Ashley. His love for the outdoors and teaching people about the outdoors will remain with all those he met along his path. His more recent job was with the Walker Golf Course at Clemson University for the past 10 years.
Brook is survived by his parents. Also, his loving sister Randall Cox (Alex Cox), and his brother Ashley Paul (Jen Ellendorf). His very special nephew Austin Paul and his golf mentor and grandfather Dudley Sports. He is preceded in death by many loving great grandparents, his grandfather Bernard Paul, grandmother Edna Paul and grandmother Jeri Sports.
Brook’s final wishes were for his family and friends to donate to a charitable cause instead of flowers. Brook having loved children, his personal experience with the Shriner’s Hospital in Greenville, SC and wanting to provide a positive future for children helped him choose this charity:
