Leroy “Les” Looman

Retired Master Sergeant Leroy Leslie “Les” Looman, age 78, of Marietta, S.C. passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 after a brief illness. Les was born in Schenectady, N.Y. to Leroy and Lena Looman. After retiring from the U.S. Army, and Caterpillar, Inc, Les enjoyed tinkering with antique tractors, engines, and attending bluegrass music activities at the Oolenoy Community Center. He is survived by his wife, Marianne, daughters; Lisa, Karen, and Jill, a granddaughter; Taylor Looman, his sister and brother-in-law (Elaine and John Brand), two nephews and their wives (Mark/Jessica and Andrew/Michelle Brand).
A memorial service will be held at Peter’s Creek Baptist Church; 972 Shoals Creek Church Road; Easley, S.C. 29640 on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m..
