Leon Lewis Leckie, 84 of Piedmont and husband to Betty Lindley Leckie, died Friday, November 25, 2022.
Born in Long Island New York, he was the son of the late Lewis and Sophie Leckie, and the oldest of eight
children.
Leon was in the automotive industry for 50 years. He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.
Leon enjoyed golf, cars, and Clemson Football.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his daughter Teresa Cleveland (Scott), his son Greg
Leckie (Heather), grandson Joshua Leckie, 2 brothers, Joe Leckie and William Leckie, and two sisters,
Thelma Gunter and Nancy Abbott.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings John Leckie, Mary Cornelius, and Charlie
Leckie.
A memorial service will be Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 2:30 at NHC Greenville. The family will receive
friends following the service.
