Lawrence James Kraus, born in Detroit, MI, passed away peacefully in his home, on September 14, 2023.
He was also known as Larry, Grandpa, Paw Paw, Lar Bob, Catfish, and the list goes on and on for those
who knew him best. Larry now rests in peace with his father (Cassmer Kraus), mother (Dorothy Kraus),
and brother (Jeffery Kraus) all of Detroit, MI.
Larry is survived by his former wife, Tina Kraus, and their chosen son, Forest Connor Palmer along with
his stepchildren, Stacy Seigler (Michael), and Jeremy Stephens (Casey). He is also survived by his
grandchildren, Logan, Kolbie, Brigg, Anslie, and Nolan.
While he remained an avid Michigan Wolverines fan, he also enjoyed the outdoors, reading, collecting
antiques, and cooking. Man, he could cook one heck of a meal on the Big Green Egg.
The family will hold a private celebration of life in the weeks ahead. Larry's cremation will take place at the family's convenience and his ashes will be spread in his honor at one of his favorite places in the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
