Kris is survived by her devoted husband, Tom, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring love. She was a cherished mother to her daughters, Brittany Coleman, Lauren Gronow, Emily Waits, Anna Cooke, and Abi Erkens. Her six grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness, will miss her warm hugs and endless support. Kris was a longtime member of Hampton Park Baptist Church in Greenville, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to many church activities over the years. Her humble spirit and kind heart made her a beloved figure among her church family.
Kris was a loving wife and mother first and foremost. She took great pride in her home and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her interests were a reflection of her nurturing soul. An avid gardener, Kris had a special touch with plants and flowers, bringing beauty to the lives of those around her. She was also an enthusiastic reader, always keen to explore new worlds and ideas within the pages of a good book. Baking was another of Kris's passions, and many will fondly recall the delicious treats she generously shared with friends and family. Her talent for thrifting was unmatched, as she had a unique ability to find treasures in the most unexpected places. Kris's skillful hands were often busy with cross-stitch, creating intricate and beautiful pieces that are cherished by her loved ones. A lover of the outdoors, Kris found peace in horseback riding and taking long walks, often accompanied by family or friends. These moments in nature were a source of great contentment for her and provided cherished memories for those who joined her.
Kris's legacy is one of love, compassion, and kindness. She touched many lives with her generosity and selflessness, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her family will continue to honor her spirit by living their lives with the same grace and warmth that she exemplified in her own.
As we say goodbye to Kris, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that have left an indelible mark on our hearts. Her laughter, wisdom, and gentle guidance will be sorely missed, but the love she gave will continue to resonate through her family and the many lives she touched.
