Kirby Donald Collier Sr. long time employee of the Atlanta Journal Constitution peacefully passed away Thursday, September 20,2018. Born in Nashville, TN on May 30, 1932. Kirby is predeceased by his wife of 60 years; Betty Jones Collier, parents ; Frank Wesley Collier Sr. & Edith Eunice Simpkins Collier, brothers; Ira Benjamin Collier, Frank Wesley Collier Jr. , one sister; Sylvia Collier Thomas, and grandson Ira Benjamin Collier III.
Survivors include his children; Ira Benjamin (Sharon) Collier II, Vickie Fennell, Kirby Donald (Valecia) Collier Jr. and Mark Andrew (Wendy) Collier, grandchildren; Susan Arwen Collier, Kayla Ann Collier, Benn Fennell, Gerrold Vincent, Kerri Alyse (Bryan) Bendixen,
Kirby D. Collier ( Kathryn) Collier III, Ira Benjamin Collier IIII, Betty Katherine Louise (Stephen) Alfonso, and Mark Andrew (Jessica) Collier Jr., great-grandchildren; Oliver, Jayne, and Claire Bendixen, Sullivan Collier, and Athena Alfonso.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, loving father, grand father, and great- grandfather. A follower of Christ and faithful to Gods word.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
