Kimberly Marie Harvey

February 4, 1960 — July 20, 2023

Kimberly Marie Harvey, known to all as Kim, was called home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2023. Born on February 4, 1960, in Topeka, Kansas, Kim was a beacon of love, kindness, and humor, whose light touched all who knew her. She passed away peacefully in Greenville, South Carolina, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Kim was the cherished daughter of the late Daniel Doss Buchanan and Thorbjorg Thomsen, and the beloved sister of Susan and Joy Ballew. She was predeceased by her brother, Dale Garceau, her husband, Tony Harrey, and her son, Kirt Buchanan. Kim's memory will be carried forward by her loving partner, Terry Armstrong, her adoring grandchildren, Alliegh and Daniel Buchanan, and her devoted sisters.
Kim's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family. She was a woman who loved to be surrounded by her loved ones, whether it was at a family gathering or simply going out to eat. She was known for her bossiness, a trait that was endearing to those who knew her well. Kim was a voracious reader, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. She also had a passion for quilting, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her family for generations to come.
Above all, Kim was a lover of animals. She believed that every creature, great and small, deserved love and kindness. Her home was often filled with the sound of purring cats and the wagging tails of dogs, each one a beloved member of her family.
Kim was a woman of faith, who lived her life with a spirit of generosity and kindness. She was known for her quick wit and her ability to make people laugh. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence could light up a room. She was a woman who loved deeply, laughed often, and lived fully.
We rejoice in the knowledge that she is now at peace, reunited with her loved ones in the presence of the Lord.
