Kenneth David Mosher, known affectionately as Ken, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023, in Greer, South Carolina. Born on April 6, 1956, in Long Beach, California, Ken lived a life marked by kindness, courage, and a deep love for his family and country.
Ken was the beloved son of the late Sal and Beverly Baldino (Ryan). He was a cherished brother to Edwin Mosher, Linda Cantu, the late Nancy Rogge, and Sally Baldino. Ken was a devoted stepfather to Jennifer Preciado and Marc Tejadas, and a doting grandfather to Ceasar, Ruben, and Olivia Preciado. His family will remember him as a loving, kind, and courageous man who always put others before himself.
Ken was a proud Army Veteran, having served his country with distinction and honor. His military career was marked by his service at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he was an Airborne Infantryman. His dedication and skill earned him several badges, including the Parachute badge, the Marksman badge for the M-16, and the Expert badge for the .45 caliber pistol. His service to his country was a testament to his courage and commitment, values he carried with him throughout his life.
After his honorable discharge, Ken embarked on a successful career as a truck driver with Estes Trucking. For 23 years, he navigated the country's highways and byways, a job he loved and performed with dedication until his retirement. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and hardworking individual, always ready to lend a hand.
Ken was a man of many interests and hobbies. He had a passion for photography, capturing moments of beauty and joy with his keen eye. He loved fishing, often spending quiet hours by the water, rod in hand. Ken was also an excellent cook, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations. His interest in computers kept him connected with the world, and his love for gardening, especially his "HOT" peppers, brought him much joy and satisfaction.
Ken's life was a testament to his loving nature, his kindness, and his courage. He faced every challenge with a smile and a positive attitude, inspiring those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
